Job Description:
A leading acute care hospital located in southeastern New York
is now searching for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist
Behavioral Health to join their award-winning healthcare team.
This acute care facility was founded over one hundred years ago and
today houses nearly 400 licensed beds and offers a wide variety of
medical and surgical services. This state-of-the-art medical center
provides a number of patient care services including behavioral
health, oncology services, cardiopulmonary and vascular services,
emergency and critical care, radiology services, maternity and
pediatric care, wound and home care, and much more.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Education, the Clinical Nurse
Specialist Behavioral Health is responsible for developing and
maintaining educational programs for the Inpatient Psychiatry and
Recovery Center areas. This service line features a 26-bed
inpatient department offering specialized psychiatric services in a
warm and welcoming environment. The Clinical Nurse Specialist
Behavioral Health will utilize evidence-based practices to develop
and maintain clinical education programs. The Nurse Educator will
collaborate with unit leadership, manage medical record review to
ensure total compliance, identifies areas of clinical improvement,
assists with policy and procedure development, and offers direct
patient care as needed.
What's Needed to Succeed:
RN Registered Nurse license in the state of New York or ability to
obtain
Understanding of Joint Commission, NYS, OASAS, OMH and DOH
regulations
Prior clinical or educational experience in a Behavioral Health
setting
Located just outside of New York City, this region offers access to
